The humans running this sanctuary thinks that the logs and twigs will help improve these inhabitants’ enrichment. But little do they know that these little critters have been gathering even more to build a large pile, so that one day they might build scaffolding to hop over the fence and make their bid for freedom! Although, given that the Isle of Wight’s Wildheart Animal Sanctuary is based within an old fort near Sandown, they may have larger walls over which to climb. ^__^
The sanctuary has 5 red-necked wallabies – named Uluru, Alice, Maruku, Wallace, and Yulara – rehomed from the Tapnell Farm Park attraction, which also on the Isle of Wight. After the park had to downsize, the sanctuary gladly took them in, and while they once enjoyed a life of being fed and petted by happy kids, now they spend their days grazing merrily and relaxing in their social group. And, as I previously established, plotting their escape. :P
Hope you enjoy!
