As you forbid any thank-you shouts, I'll comment on some of your stuff instead! I like the facial markings and shape, and the texture adds a nice effect. I like how the blue stands out against the yellowish fur too. But the head is the best bit imo, really nicely shaped :)

Aww, thank you! And that works! I just don't like getting 20 million thank you shouts because they get old and annoying after a while..thanks for catchint that though!

I tend to think that drawing fur texture by hand looks more natural, but I think it depends how good you are at using brushes/how repetitive they are. I keep thinking I ought to try making or using some brushes, but I tend to prefer the control you have drawing texture by hand.
And sure, I know what you mean about the shouts. Not many people tend to thank me anyway, but it would get my hopes up thinking it was a comment about my art when it's just a fly-by thank you :p

In regards to the fur texture: I've tried it by hand but it ends up looking odd (then again I only tried it with prismacolor pencils..and I'm not that great at traditional style..)...Maybe one of these days I'll sit down and actually try to work on the fur digitally but without brushes. It would take me while but I think the end result would be kickass if I was patient. XD
As for the shouts: Exactly! I don't mind shouts every now and then but when its always the same "Thank you for this.." and "Thank you for that.." it gets old. And would you believe that a good 90% of the people DON'T EVEN READ the big bold RED text that states "NO thank yous, please." ? At one time I got so annoyed with it I started going to the shouts and saying "No problem. Just for the record, please read the big red bold text.." and I get a lot of "I'm so sorry! I didn't read it!" and so on. Which resulted in my shoutbox being filled again and me having to clean it out >_>;;;
