I connect a bit with this OC. I grew up in California in the Bay Area while I'm thinking Maya's from Southern California, most likely Los Angeles. She strikes me as the 'if you say you're going to do something, do it' type
On a small note, I think Maya would know that Tom Petty's song 'Free Fallin' is not about skydiving, and is actually an ode to Los Angeles. I can kind of see her humming that song to herself in her spare time off the set
