This is one of many Muinmos (also known as Tea Fox). They're very small, very light, kitten-sized animal spirits that weave pleasant dreams. They appear like the soft glow of candle light, fading in and out while walking very delicately, appearing to those in deep sleep. They keep their eyes tightly shut because they believe the best things in life are unseen. Don't leave your tea in plain sight for they seem to enjoy it greatly.
I've been drawing these fox/cat-like spirits for as long as I could remember. They were inspired by the stories of foxes told in Japanese folklore and Native American folklore. Also inspired by the mysterious feline; proud and careless but always fascinating. Muinmos appeared on my homework, desks, my hand, and many personal art projects. Recently, I thought I'd try to do something with these subtle little creatures.
