I did, too. And Bob Newhart did such a fantastic job of giving voice to Bernard. I especially liked how the animators worked some of Newhart's mannerisms into the character (e.g., the sketch on the right; "On second thought, if I were a Pirate I... I... w-wouldn't... I wouldn't...").
