9/13/20: Foes become friends-story (Req.)
Story:
Once upon a summer evening, there were these two carnivores at a rock concert really enjoying themselves at the mosh pit. It was a time of their lives as they were getting to know the up-and-coming singer that is popular internationally. They were dancing to a song in a lydian mode that was well made and was jumpy. Alfred was a little near Cory, and was solo at the concert. He was shy and was trying to find ways to be more open to others as his species is naturally, solitary, but being the introvert as he is, he feels that it was time to stop being cooped up in a box and be outside of it.
Cory was attending too, but his background story was that he was actually a widower after losing his wife two months ago-he lost her while she was giving birth to 4 pups, but poignantly, the five of them died despite doctors trying desperately to save them all-but it was futile and Cory had to live with this pain for the rest of his life. He did have a weird feeling that despite that he did lose them, he did not want to have them disappear from him altogether, so secretly before they were to be cremated, he had taken a very small tissue of meat (muscle) from each them and ate them so to feel that his five family members are still inside of them not just by thoughts, but by body as well. He was attending so to hopefully get his mind off of the loss and to hopefully start all over again.
At the time when the music was on, Alfred was dancing wildly with the other furs that were attending. Cory was a little more subdued, but was gaining some happiness.
Said Alfred while dancing, "WHOO! What a song! It is unbelievable that he's not that popular here in the USA."
Cory did notice Alfred, but was protecting himself from him. However, at one point, Alfred did step on Cory's toe. Despite of the loud music in the mosh pit, he did give a "YEOW!" and Alfred did hear it.
"Be careful, you panda!"
Alfred did feel that little unusual contour on the floor and saw Cory hurt. "Oh damn, sorry, mister wolf! I didn't mean to," he said loudly to him and continued dancing.
Cory did not forget Alfred and did forgive. But he did distance himself from the red panda. He did return to dancing.
Once the next song played, the two were close again, but then Alfred had made an "uncontrollable gesture" that then had his hands swing wildly-Cory was not ready to avoid Alfred's swings of his arms, and eventually, Alfred accidentally chopped Cory at his neck.
Furious, Cory responded while tugging on Alfred's long tail, "HEY! YOU S.O.B., YOU HURT ME AGAIN!"
Alfred, offended that somefur would hold his tail this way, said with rage, "OH, YOU BASTARD! I WON'T APLOGISE FOR THAT UNLESS YOU LET GO OF ME THIS WAY!"
"WITH YOUR DANCING, YOU ARE TOO DANGEROUS-I'M STOPPING YOU! YOU GOT MY THROAT!"
"STOP ME?!? YOU'D HAVE TO GET USED TO THIS! UNHAND MY TAIL!"
Eventually, they were having a bit of hand fights, until security stepped in and drove them out of the stadium. The two were silent when the bear security guards had escorted out in the parking lot, and when they left them alone, they eyed each other silently with groans, growls and grumbles.
"You ready to talk?" asked Cory.
After a moment of silence and starting of with an angry sigh, he said, "Mr. wolf, you-"
"Call me by my first name, Cory."
"Whatever. You would not really think that you overreacted a bit?"
"Heck no. It is you that caused us to be kicked out in the first place-you stepped on me."
"Well, huh, sorry again," said Alfred. "It is clear that you'd think that what a mosh pit is, you'd have to expect things to happen. I just feel that you just could not let go of what happened initially and accept an apology."
Cory scoffed. Then said, "As if! Why would you be here in the first place to injure some fur?"
"Injure?! Please, if it does things any better, you don't know me at all."
Cory shakes his head. "Well, that is something that we'd agree about." He gives a sigh and does does give a little tear. "If you would understand me, I have had a really agonizing time and I don't want things to get any worse."
Alfred did lighten up a teeny bit and said, "Huh? What?"
Cory then started to get a little sadder as his haunted past gets to him. He did explain about his wife dying while whelping (childbirth), and the stress did reach the children and they all died. His retelling of how he became a widower made him break down and cry.
Alfred was then feeling sympathy towards Cory and once Cory was about to collapse to the ground, Alfred caught him.
"Oh, Cory! I'm terribly sorry to hear that. Please...."
Cory did cry a bit more and eventually got on his two hindpaws to get stability to then hug Alfred for comfort. His loss was on his mind right now and just could not think about music in the concert. As time passed by, Alfred was feeling worse for Cory and did feel guilt for his wild dances.
Alfred then broke the silence by saying. "Do forgive me, I never knew it was that bad for you. I'm a single red panda that is handsome and mild-mannered, and I feel your pain."
Cory sadly responds, "You serious?"
Alfred responds with a closed-mouth smile with watery eyes, "Yes, definitely-no lie."
Cory still tearing up, but showing happiness responded, "Oh, thank you."
After about a minute of hugging, backpatting, and even happy moans, Cory then asked happily, "What's your name?"
"Alfred. And hey, you're not too bad, Cory."
"You're not so bad yourself, Alfred."
They then shook hands.
"Now Alfred, you said you're single, eh? I know a way to fix that."
"Yeah? I hope to learn from you-I'm tired of being all by myself-I want a female!"
"I'll help ya. Just let us try to re-enter the concert-I hope there's a way to do so," said Cory. "Trust me, I'm a veteran of this."
Alfred said, "Okay, let's go. I promise I won't interfere..."
Cory giggles.
They were able to be friends from here on. At the parking lot, they did march back to the ticket office and somehow with luck, they sweet talked to the security guard polar bear guarding the main gate and showed proof of their admission. They did lose a bit of songs while they were out in the parking lot reconciling, but they did have some nice time together as friends. They did have some alcohol together 2 hours before the last call, and they did have a joy in dancing-Carefully!-in the mosh pit. Little do they know that these two live on the same street 3 blocks away, therefore they see each other regularly and have a strong bond as they face life together.

Art:
It is one of the great things that the artist has done, really. She is blooming, and I was glad to have another free art from her in getting a story of my two oldest fursonas-how they met. Of course this was well before I debuted Ashley Otter, but this was another story. Clearly, with an acquaintance in furs, they will eventually meet up, but for my mantry, there should be a story on how some furs I have have met. In this, I feel that a concert setting was perfect for them. I did have a similar experience of being kissed by a lady stranger while attending a protest in 2002, but I would regret leaving her as I was more interested in the protest than her in following love. Anyway, it was a near-related story of what I experienced, but tweaked more.
At first there was no story, but the artist did make do with her imagination, and I like what she did. It was a year delay, and I had no idea that I had this art until now! Thank heavens I can finally post and put this up as a good story to read. I thank the artist greatly.
