Decided I wanted to draw Fatality's outfits. Mostly, I wanted to draw Fatality's weird crossdressing/not-actually-crossdressing-not-technically-drag-queen outfits and figured I'd do the rest of the ones called out in the books. (Will do more of these when book 2 and book 3 come out.) Then thought the best approach for this was to do a digital "paperdoll," which are these old school 2D dolls that have cut outs of paper dresses. Except most of these outfits won't be dresses, and my dear Aon, Fatality is not a Barbie. (And before I get the "where's the stuff" and blah, she is intersex and an alien.)
Second in the paperdoll set is the mars nouveau outfit worn as part of Fatality's move from the moon to Earth. Forbidden experiments have to be moved covertly. This one takes hours to prep.
"
“Wow,” Fatality gasped as he held up the hooded cloak. It was a combination between a riding hood and a veil, designed to fall across the back. The earlier garments had been of strange colors and odd fabric choices. The hood was a statement piece with exquisite Mars nouveau-inspired details.
The Aon donned the hood with gusto, facing the group. A few nods of approval were made. Pictures were taken. A screen was presented to Fatality. The prep work was to see if all the pieces worked on her frame.
The outfit was strange to her, but beneath the hood, hair, and many bindings it was difficult to tell that she was not human. Her purple eyes, considered rare, were possible in people due to genetic engineering. Despite Amanz’s nature, he did do good work.
