Ten Days of Magic the Gathering: A True Story (page 03)
I couldn't sleep, so I put together a cute little comic. I'm mainly just experimenting and playing around with a few ideas. I just hope people find my sense of humor amusing. This is indeed a true story, and I hope it translates well to the page.
Enjoy. :)

Heck, there's a reason I play tabletop RPGs. There's enough paperwork going into them form the get-go that unless you're playing Rifts every character is roughly balanced. If you ARE playing Rifts welcome to the game where PC #1 is a normal human with a gun, PC #2 is a normal human in a Big Fucking Suit of Armor that could destroy lower Manhattan with a single shot, PC #2 is a mutant wizard that could single-handedly take out PC #2 and not be winded and PC #4 is a freaking demigod who could fart and take out Pluto.
Well when my friend introduced me to the game, he clearly told me that there were only a set kind of cards: Creature, Spells, Artifacts, and Lands.. He NEVER mentioned Planeswalkers because they were an expensive, and new mechanic. When I got out to play real people, everyone had these Planeswalkers -- and they don't come cheap! I mean come on!
"Oh f**k, it's Jace..." being my usual responce. Of course, my local ring banned them from games, as well as the new Eldrazi and the old Slivers...
...I miss playing my Ameboid Changling and Sliver Overlord combo...
...And I really wanna play with my new Emrakul, the Aeons Torn...

cheapest bloody card I own
15 of any colour to play, 15/15, can't be countered, free extra turn after the turn it was played, flying, protection from coloured spells, annihilator 6 (Upon attacking, opponent must sacrifice 6 permanents), and when it's sent to the graveyard from anywhere, I can take my graveyard and shuffle it (Along with emrakul) back into my deck.
Couple that with It That betrays, an eldrazi with annihilator 2 with an effect that allows me to take control of any permanents sacrificed by the opponent, and you have a guranteed win.

Jace... heh. Cancel or Negate, Meglonoth, Fireball, Corrupt, and maybe just Oblivion Ring to have some fun. Big ol' target for me to skewer.
Planeswalkers... pfft!
I've been owning folks who used them since Lorwyn introduced them. There's nothing wrong with them(hell, I own three and only 3 different ones I lucked into), just the people who treat staple cards like them as gospel in their deckbuilding. I hate their attitude of "this card is garbage. It can't win the game by itself and no pro player uses it in their deck"... Thankfully my circle of players build only what they wanna build instead of netdecking and keeping up with the newest fad cards.
