Amy got her first compliment today!

Okay so it was from an eight year old... and it was... well...

She had decided to incorporate cardio that morning. TECHNICALLY it reduces gains. I mean probably. According to some people. All bodies are unique-ish and the science of bodybuilding is pretty bloody faffy even when you don't account for all the new supplements and biotech these days.

Point is, she wanted to get -in shape- not just big. It wouldn't do for her to be able to bench 500 if she couldn't walk ten steps with it before collapsing.

Okay strictly speaking carrying that much made it stop being cardio, but it SHOULD be cardio.

She was, perhaps, over-ambitious.

But the point is, she started running that morning, worked up a good sweat, and made it back before breakfast.

Where her son said “Wow mommy, I've never seen you so shiny!”

As in sweaty.

Which isn't really a compliment... unless you're eight.

And hey, if they like shiny things, that's enough for her.

Maybe.

Probably.

...Not really.

Better spend today on the benches too, until she can SEE the bulge.
