A resident of the Engine city's engineering block, raised alone by his grandfather. He contracted Polio as a child and spent his childhood on a wheelchair. His Grandfather, a reknowned engineer decided to amputate Byakko's legs and replace them with his newly developed prosthetics made of living metal. Byakko was steeled at a tender age of 8, and the event was frowned upon by most of the city as the landmark Steeling procedure put the young Byakko under such a large risk.
Byakko's grandfather was cast out by society and treated with disdain. The city officials decided forcefully took Byakko away from him. The custody battle continued for a couple of years until Byakko was put under state custody. With a heavy heart and of weak constitution brought by old age, Byakko's grandfather died a few weeks later.
Byakko, not told of his grandfather's death, continued to live in one of the Engine City's laboratories being tested to recreate the technology that went into his legs.
One day, Byakko found out of what happened and ran away from the orphanage.
Visiting his grandfather's grave, he came to knowledge of the peculiariy of his legs made of living metal called "The Legs of Hermes" as well as his other projects "The Gauntlet of Ares," "The Visor of Athena," And the "Balls-- er Orbs of Zeus." Harboring a deep anger against the Engine City... Byakko fled eastwards to plan his revenge.
