Time seemed to slow, then twist and fold in on itself before it imploded. V4L navigated the sun-baked expansion, the occasional fluttering of papers contorting in the hot air catching his attention. He stopped to survey the brittle fragments of what was once a bustling metropolis; there! Something strange...
It was subtle, but the faint glow was there. A violet mist rising from this object like arms ready to caress any who drew closer. The breath whooshed out of his lungs in a deep, sudden Tssssssss_
V4L crept closer and lowered his monsterous head to the tiny, fragile plant. With as much tenderness as he could muster, he took a small breath through the radiator. The little flower struggled to remain rooted even with him being as cautious as he could. The scent was wonderful: a sweet mixure of vanilla and honey...

This is a post apocalyptic AU where Val... or rather V4L was wounded beyond repair in the war. Half of his face had been torn off. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead, yet there were small, pitiful sparks of life left within his brain. He was forced into a cryogenic sleep underground for centuries until the war ended. His body grew in cryosleep, but all other functions ceased.
It wasn't until a renowned Cendrillion mechanic nicknamed "Puzzle" thought himself as confident and skilled enough to resurrect the fallen Primordial. Unfortunately, due to the war which had lasted nearly 500 years, technology ceased its advancements as all focus was for the war. A war in which no one won.
Mechanics who were raised on little more than war and doctors both combined their energies and managed to rebuild Valentine from a Semi.
