My new character-type dealie, Scales Unkara, the newest DJ for the campus station KTEK 88.7 FM. If you'd like to hear him (me), you can tune in via streaming webcast at here (or, if you're on a modem / dial-up connection, here) from 10 to 11 PM MST (or intermittently, as I might be there whenever).
I'll explain later in an edit, if I feel like it.
EDIT: The explanation of the character:
Scales Unkara is obviously an Eastern dragon; sadly, he had been living off the streets for who knows how long until he was discovered sleeping beneath the KTEK van. As such, he is often referred to as the Dirty Hippie Dragon living under the van. Obviously, he's cleaned up his act a bit, having been offered a position as DJ for the very same KTEK. He broadcasts regularly now from 2200 to 2300, Mountain Standard Time (that's 0000-0100 for you East Coasters).
The creation of the character:
I was offered a volunteer position as DJ for KTEK; as such, I felt it necessary to come up with a handle and persona different from my norm. Scales Unkara was the handle I came up with; Unkara is short for "Sanjiyan Unkara", a demon race from the manga 3x3 Eyes who live in Tibet and have three eyes (hence the third eye on his forehead). Scales is obvious as to why the name was chosen.
The look actually directly resulted from screwing around on the Wii, creating a random Mii. The character I came up with looked like this if he were human.
I'll explain later in an edit, if I feel like it.

Nano is a vile little text editor which descended from a similar program called Pico. I'm not sure it'd even be called a text editor.
Picture vi and notepad--we'll start with those and somewhere, way down the hill, off the edge of that cliff strewn with burned out cars, is Nano.
vi lets you do all kinds of cool shit with nothing but a keyboard, but does not allow a mouse. It's a command line utility--it's not supposed to use a mouse. Its beauty is that it doesn't need one, and that every Posix-compliant operating system must have it.
Notepad can't do most of what vi can, but it has mouse support. It also lets you use things like home and end.
Now picture a keyboard text-editor without vi's handy navigation features and without notepad's mouse support. You can type characters, and you can move around with your arrow keys. That's it.
That is Nano. Brad uses it to write code because he's a sick bastard.
