Kavik, my wolverine shaman girl, performs her first successful spell in a shamanic ritual to tell a story. Her hair color changes with the spells she cast, which generally take on the colors of the aurora borealis. Here she is beginning the tale of how Raven made the world.

I learned a lot of Inuit stories when I was in Alaska, especially when I was in the Nunamiut village of Anaktuvuk. These stories really touched deep in my core, so Kavik is my way of expressing them. Expect more shaman pieces!
