One of my cats playing with a new catnip toy last Christmas.

She was always the one closest to, and most protective of, me. Unfortunately we recently found a tumour on her liver and had to have her put down a couple of weeks ago, as she'd started refusing to eat and was trying to find a quiet spot in which to pass away, though her hind legs were, by that point, far too weak to allow her to jump the six-foot fence surrounding the very enclosed garden.

I've just been looking through old photographs of her and remembering how sweet she was. She was always in my bedroom watching over me, if not sat directly on top of me, and whenever I was ill it was always her who came to look after me - the other three couldn't care less.

I'm going to miss her :(
