My idea is that the person exploring the temple and went the wrong way out and accidentally stumbled onto a pit with a tight rope most explorers say about this sector is you feel a strange urge to cross it. When most get the urge to cross it they ignore it and leave but the urge was to strong for the person as it crossed it. Suddenly in a blink of a eye a blond fold appeared on him and of course he panicked, he wanted to turn back but something was telling him no he cant. As he crossed he felt himself changing which of course again he panicked but stopped as he looked to he in a trans as he continued across the tight rope while also dropping the flash light. In his mind a female voice was telling her to calm down which he did try to and sure enough he was calm. As for outside his body continued changing into a weird form the further he went until he reached the other side. By then the transformation was nearly complete as his manhood was all that's left. He or she at this point now called herself somnambula but he still had his memories of his old life as well as some on somnambula too
