Yes! All four of these cars formerly ran on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train, operated by the Algoma Central Railway and Wisconsin Central until 2001, when it was bought out by CN. The dome lounge cars were built in 1948 for the original, famous, California Zephyr, and were later used on the Denver Ski Train. The cars behind them were ex-VIA Rail and ex-Canadian National, used both on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train and the railway's regular passenger services. BUT- last year, CN crews shuttling these cars in Sault Ste Marie managed to derail and damage them, so here they sit in CN's Soo Yard in Sault Ste Marie, MI, being vandalized and beaten....

Not sure. The windows are all busted out and the interiors are trashed (yeah, I went inside ), but I don't know of the plans for the two Zephyr cars. They'll probably get restored. The to ex-VIA/CNR cars have bad-order slips taped to the sides, which say they'll be scrapped.
I heard about these...shame, really; there's few Zephyr domes that still bear the herald.
By the way, I'm pretty sure the smoothside dome isn't from the Zephyr...all their equipment had matching stainless fluting, like the dome closest to the camera. I kinda want to say it's UP or NP, because I know both had smoothside domes, but I couldn't say for sure.
