This tail is a commission for
virmir ! It's made with three-inch pile grey and black fur from Distinctive Fabrics with two-inch elastic bands and a chain spine.
I wasn't entirely sure what to expect with the three-inch pile, but it's very soft and silky! It's not quite as dense as their two-inch pile, but the length makes up for it IMO. The backing is also not as thick, so it's easier to cut. That being said, it gets ruffled up really easily-- you can kind of see even in the picture that the markings got a little blurred even when I'd only been wearing it for a little while. If anyone wants to use this in their own projects, keep a brush handy!
And yes, it is huge...but I was going by his character reference. ;P

Well. :/ This is kind of a bad example of standard pricing since it's huge compared to what I'd normally do, it has a spine (for greater flexibility) and has an uncommonly-used three-inch pile fur that costs more (which drove up the price.) It was...seventyish, I think? But I'd normally price a tail more around thirty or so, depending on the design and the number of colors/furs I'd have to use.
