Green banana cockroach, aka panchlora nivea. These are only about 1" long and VERY flighty, so they're not easy to photograph. This is the "giant" form; their usual form is exactly the same size (and species) only about half as small. I have some of each species. They can be found in the wild where I live :)
It is usually an outdoor species and is rarely found indoors and thus is not considered a pest. They're actually attracted to bright lights, unlike most cockroach species. From what I've seen, they're also quite clumsy (as you can see from this photo) and have vivid personalities; "puffing up" at my finger and flapping their wings at me. I hope to get a vid of this soon, as it's really adorable XD
I took a LOT of photos of this particular guy, as most of the others were buried in the dirt. Hope you enjoy!
