Days before the depicted scene, the wolven kingdom of Kinzerelk's army threatened Rakant and Takaani's homeland in an attempt to to expand their influence and power. The dragons stopped this army entirely, annihilating their forces and leaving only a number alive. This included General Suha, who happened to be the current King Nunak's brother. Rakant and Takaani informed Suha that if he wanted his people to survive, his brother needed to be removed and their kingdom's aspirations needed to change. Suha agreed, although only for the good of his people, he would challenge his brother for the throne. Days later, Suha would do just that under the distant watch of the dragons. Rakant and Takaani would witness Suha kill his brother Nunak and claim the throne. Returning home and giving the kingdom time to adjust, Rakant and Takaani before returned to address past offenses and to discuss their nation's relations with Kinzerelk.
