Here we find Fidget the Bat taking shelter in the rafters of a dark and abandoned barn with his newfound owl friend Athelney.

Fidget survived his fall into the River Thames swimming with difficulty before losing consciousness. He was washed ashore and resuscitated by Olivia Flaversham herself. Grateful for her rescue, the two became inseparable friends. Now Fidget is hiding from the Night Owl of Hackmoor that threatens the rodents of London. His newfound friend Athelney is an owl so small that he is not able to hunt mice. Instead he lives off bugs. The two friends decide to look out for each other as they shelter in an old barn in Southwark. The two discuss what their next move should be to unite with their allies. It seems Athelney knows more about the Night Owl than he cares to discuss.
