“1, 2, 3...Here I go!!!" Taking a few steps back, Randal looked into the glistening water below. He took in a deep breath before jumping off the edge of the hill and into the water...it was colder than he expected!
He made sure to splash as much water on Whisper, and in her direction as he could...not that she minded in the slightest considering how hot was it out today.
Summer was winding down, much to Whisper's pleasure. Taking some time off work, she called up her friend Randall and asked him if he wanted to go swimming this weekend. After they rearranged the time, place, and most importantly, what food to pack, they decided to meet Friday morning around 600, and drive up to the lake. It would be the perfect way to kick off the weekend, and just relax for a bit.
"Aren't you going to come in the water? We didn't come all this way just for you to tan your fur..." Randal teased Whisper, as he splashed some water in her direction, beckoning her to join him in the lake.
"I'm coming! I'm just lounging around for a bit before I go for a swim." Stifling a yawn, she laid on the edge of the bank and watched him splash about; he reminded her of a kid to an extent. Chuckling to herself, she leaned up against the nearby tree trunk, making sure she was well hidden under the shade. She decided she would take a short nap, THEN go swimming. While she was happy to be out and spending time with him, a catnap seemed more appealing at the moment.
In Whisper's defense, she tends to be lazy(ier) in the summer time due to the heat and humidity. So catnaps are expected and welcome; she will go swimming later when she wakes up, don't worry~
A very special belated birthday gift for my friend randalwolf. The two of them enjoying an end of the summer trip to the local lake.
Sorry for the delay, but I certainly hope the wait was worth it! I always enjoy getting art with his character, Whisper and Randal tend to have some interesting adventures together.
