This dive certainly didn't go as planned for Pela and Ta'Hira. At first they had their usual exploration tour at the bottom of the sea, discovering an ancient shipwreck.
However on the way to the exit, they saw through the portholes what no unprotected diver wants to see: Sharks!

At this point, the penguin and the otter were underwater for almost ten minutes according to Pela's stopwatch. That was still within a safe margin for their semi-aquatic, trained lungs, but even they could not stay in the depths forever. They had to get out or soon be too weak to swim all the way to the surface that sparkled 150 feet above the shipwreck!

Luckily there was some equipment left by the warriors that once guided that wreck through those unruly waters. Equipped with a knife and a spear and with lungs already complaining about the strain, they started their ascent.
The escape was quickly foiled however when the hungry beasts blocked their way and started circling around the two freedivers.
Ta'Hira's knife and Pela's spear seemed to keep the sharks from coming closer, but any kick towards the surface made them more tempted. What could they do? Will they run out of breath or stamina to fight or will the sharks give up in time?

Annotation: Please don't take it too personal that I'm portraying sharks to be bloodthirsty beasts. Am well aware that does not portray the reality (also a knife is likely useless let alone scaring them). This is just fantasy >w<
