I shouldn't have doubted that Te'o would survive his encounter with Tial, though I think with this battle against Aspen he'll very likely be victorious due to the advantage of environment. Those Zaw'afikh climbing abilities will keep him on the move and a desert environment with higher temperatures and less moisture in the air is a disadvantage for an ice dragon. There's also Te'o intelligence and experience given his age that's another factor to consider.
