A few years ago I played The Longing. It's a deliberately slow game that takes 400 real time days to play as you're a little Shade created by an underground stone king and is tasked to wake him up in 400 days as he sleeps and recharges his powers. It's one of those 1-time-only games where while the premise sounds terrible, it's surprisingly engaging. Realistically, it takes about 30-ish hours to complete over the course of about a month since you can speed up the timer in a few ways, which is how long it took me. But you can start the game, close it, return 400 real days later and finish it. But that'll make the Shade feel very lonely... the game has 5 endings, and the path that Red is walking on right now lead directly to 3 different ones, and technically a 4th one. As The Longing is a game that's best played blind and only really when you got some time to kill, I don't think I should reveal much... other than that I remind you that the game is excruciatingly slow, but that thankfully the timer keeps going when the game's closed.

Oh and I have no reason to play again, I got the ending I wanted and I spent the time needed to get every single achievement. Also that mushroom is a glowing kind that when plucked gives off a lot of light. However the deeper that you get in that area, the less effective it is until you can only see the eyes
