I don't know how many others refer to the headlights of the train as "The Triangle" but I sure do.
Even if this "triangle" is of your own train, it's still and always will be an uneasy feeling-thing to see or be in front of.
I'm not saying to/you ought to fear the sight of it, but what I am saying is to not be in its path.

Nope not really. The only time that I see the beacons is when you’re working near or in an RCO zone. We have an RCO zone in the yard we go into and they have the beacons on their switch engines/cabooses coupled to the engine. It just depends really..
Otherwise, the only other beacons I see is on the D-Rail / RCO limit signs in the yard here when you exit or enter the zone.

Yes it does, thanks! I rarely see any BNSF out where I currently live, pretty much just UP. I have to drive a bit inland toward the East to get to former Santa Fe lines.
Since I grew up in Minnesota I was at one time fairly familiar with what the BN (And the GN, NP) had for beacons but that is no longer true :)
