I figure some of you might want to see the magic behine the scenes (me too), so I'll post some progress pics. For those not interested, you can safely ignore them (this time). I start with a basic rectangular box (not shown, it's just a box). I then "extrude" the head, arms, and legs out of a few appropriate faces. Then I reshape them by moving around the vertices and adding a few here and there. I keep doing that until the model start to look like something. These are the very early stages and have a long long way to go. Don't know when I'll get to work on them next. What you guys think? Want more of these previews? *poke poke* Maybe I can inspire some budding 3d artists... to do my bidding. *rubs his paws* Muwhahahaha! No, wait. I mean to help them get started. Yeah, that's it. Oh well, hopes it helps someone.

Actually that have something similar. Basically a 3d "pen" where a series of linkages connects each other to a base. Also the wireless pens out there would take much to be completely 3d. Can to think of it, something like the Wii controller might be useful here. But the big studios already have 3d "sculpting" digitizes. Now if only they make the cost affordable to us mere mortals. *dreams*
I tried other shapes but I like to start with rectangle boxes. I don't really subdivide though but I like to extrude a lot and the right angles make it easier. Besides, I make so much changes that the box disappears fairly quickly. I use Tubrosmooth to round out the edges. Makes nice organic models without having to work directly on a complex model since I use a simpler base working model. I have a tough time of not making the model too complex since I want to animate them on this machine. But it can be so tempting. Maybe one day when I get a more powerful machine. But thanks for the comments. They're all helpful. *dances* ^^~@~^^
