only rain and nothing else
The next sketch for last year's challenge.
Tardie is looking for her brother Ike on a streets of her rainy hometown Nocterin.
I'm sorry for my English, before I try to tell you something! But this is better than nothing at all, right? :D
Tardie is the main character of my book, the storyteller.
The universe, where Tardie and all the other characters of this story live, consists of many worlds, most of which aren't connected with each other. However, there you can meet rare owners of "the talent of movement", who can open portals to other worlds. Most of them live their lives without ever knowing their ability. Mainly because the existence of other worlds, as well as the possibility of movement, isn't generally known. If someone discovers this talent in themself, it's only by chance. And such a cases is almost always unpleasant and shocking, sometimes even terrible events.
The first movement takes a lot of energy, and if creatures don't die, then in most cases they partially or completely lose their memory. This doesn't mean, that these creatures become like a childen. It only means, that all the memories of their past life are transformed for them into incoherent pieces, that they can't put together into a single picture.
Such creatures are helpless and vulnerable to foreign lands, foreign societies. They very often die or become puppets in a hands of creatures with a most bad intentions. Unable to live alone, to become part of the worlds, they never knew existed.
Tardie became one of these creatures. Some events forced her to move from her homeworld. And these events began from this cold moment in rainy night Nocterin.
Although, you should know, that she turned out to be more fortunate than many others like her. She received help and support from a wanderer between worlds. Perhaps, some of you have seen him in my gallery. His name is Ernekhas Gvinhatt or just Khas.
