That's right I've come up with yet another alien species. This time a cute lil fuzzy one. ^^Boys and girls meet Arkel. He's a Saevai. His species are a race of mammal like beings. Before their civilization arose they primarily lived in forest and are excellent climbers and jumpers. Saevai lack gender. Any Saevai can reproduce with any other individual. Much as the Asari from Mass Effect the Saevai simply use their partner's genes as a template upon which to randomize their own. Saevai do not give live birth though as mammals do. Instead they a single egg. Saevai culture is fairly open and accepting and has been fairly peaceful with only minor conflicts dotting their history. Their cute appearance and telepathic ability make them excellent councilors and negotiators. The later being the primary skill they share with their ally the Synkal. The Saevai made first contact with the Synkal when they were experimenting with their first FTL systems and happened to find their way to a system the Synkal were already surveying as well. The two remain good allies and the Saevai have shown a rather good aptitude for advanced technologies. Behavior wise they are fairly normal although do have some quarks which other species may consider infantile. For one Saevai tend to make frequent use of bottles for liquids usually stating it's the simplest solution for spill prevention and often ask why not? Another would be their tendency to cuddle or snuggle up with anything handy. Which can include bunk mates. Lastly Saevai tend to use diapers for disposal of bodily waste. As digging a toilet was impractical in a tree setting and just going off the side of a branch may lead to unpleasantness for someone below this was adopted early on as a solution for all ages. Saevai often times are puzzled why other species think any of this is infantile or humorous. It makes perfect sense to them.

Arkel here is seen in the observation lounge on a Saevai ship. He's currently dressed in a casual uniform the color of which denotes his position as science and tech personnel. Arkel can often be found down in one of the research labs with his nose buried in a vid screen. He's very outgoing and doesn't mind answering offworlder's questions. Though he does expect them to return the favor and answer his questions. He's also taken up an interest in Exo-Mechs. His people use exo suits for hazardous labor or combat as the situation would dictate.
