Linoone are born to run. It’s in our blood. A Linoone that cannot run is in a claustrophobic hell. You can feel the energy accumulating in your veins, screaming for an out! But if you cannot see where you’re going, you’ll never get anywhere fast.

Being blind...hurt me, though at first I was too thankful to be alive to realize it. It was only after the first couple days that the need, the frustration began to mount. I would trip and fall or stumble over every root, forced to follow my trainer at a glacially slow human pace. It was impossible. I thought I would explode!

Sugar, my best friend. He became my new eyes, and I, his new wings. We worked together, trained together. We built a saddle and we learned to use it. And now, every day we run and run and run for hours. I trusted him, and I learned to run again.

And the more we ran, the more we trusted each other.

And the greater our trust, the faster we ran.

Alone I can’t do more than shuffle. Together, we’re the fastest thing on legs!
