This triple barrel assault rifle has been the weapon of choice for many soldiers for decades. Recent developments allowed the modification of this rifle to utilize Bionic Energy as its ammunition, allowing the "Carbine Blaster" to be still in widespread use with armed forces such as the Royal Marine Guard Corps thanks to its rapid fire nature and is effectiveness at various ranges. However, continuous fire causes it to spray it's shots all over the place and its recommended to fire in short controlled bursts for better accuracy. Nowadays, Carbine Rifles are equipped with a Sword Bayonet for melee encounters but unlike the Calibur Sword Rifle, the Carbine lacks the ability to channel Bionic Energy into it's blade for Bionic users.
To prevent the use of unqualified individuals from using the Carbine Blaster, a built in sensor can detect if the user is qualified to use it or not. This means that if hypothetically, anyone under the age of 18 attempts to fire the weapon, it will not work.
Notes:
-This weapon is inspired from the real life M4 Carbine Rifle (or is it the M16 rifle seen in the Vietnam War films? IDK I can't tell the difference). I just added some sci-fi lights, a triple barrel, and a bayonet to it.

In the world I developed, gun control is very strict, and taken very seriously in the military, freelancer companies, merc groups, bounty hunter guilds, you name it.
Should note that anyone in my furry world joins any of those above groups mentioned under 18, they would likely be assigned to a support role (like mecha cargo hauling ) rather than a combat role. At the very least, they would be trained in sword combat.
Ever watch the original naruto? The ninjas at 12 years old are assigned non conbat related jobs like fetching a cat. Only reason why naruto and gang are suddenly fighting on the front lines mid series is because a major attack on the village killed lots of the adults.

Honestly, after some thinking, it just wouldn't look right for a teenaged kid to even have a weapon that looks like an assault rifle or a real gun. Sure, I did had Maverick's character sheet feeturing a handgun at one point but thats been changed to a mining tool thats kinda like the one in the dead space games. Plus, Maverick can use a Sword Rifle, since I changed that weapon to NOT fire projectiles at all, only act as something like a lightsaber.
Besides, I like the idea of the main characters using tools as improvised weapons better.
