I felt a sudden spurn to remember the PMD games, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon for those of you who haven't had the chance to play them. They're a rather fun little series. Hit or miss, but no more than the actual mainline Pokémon games are. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the story regardless.

Rai the Riolu and his friend Todo the Totodile attempt a foray into a cave in order to prove themselves to be Rescue Rangers. Unfortunately, they find they aren't quite ready, and that the actual Rescue Rangers are rather worried about them.

This was cute. I like the adventure and how it probably ties into the games.
Are super effective moves a concept in PMD? That and specific moves rather than generic slaps, stomps could have made it feel more real.
I feel somewhat deprived not knowing what happens with gardevoir. She is implied to not spank. I would find a psychic spanking very interesting. But even if she doesn't spank, I could have used some reference at the end that the two young ones would regroup and plan another safer activity.

And thank you for commenting. I definitely considered such things, but I haven't played it recently myself, merely had my inkling to look into it again for the fun of writing it. I did indeed think about implying a bit more heavily that the Gardevoir was merely dealing with Todo in her own capacity, but by the time I hit that point, I was thinking it might be better to leave it a bit ambiguous.
Nevertheless, thank you for your comment. Always a pleasure to hear others analyze what they enjoyed.
