EDIT: Thank you guys SO much for all the kind words. It's incredibly encouraging and goes to show how powerful community support can be! It's very inspiring and I'm super grateful for you guys. Typing up something positive for someone can really make a difference in someone's life so thank you for making a difference in mine ๐ค
Just a little something I put on Twitter a while ago but thought I might share here too because the sentiment is the same! Thanks for giving me a watch and checking out the comics and other artworks. It means the world to me and someday I hope to go full-time work for you guys! (I haven't yet due to health insurance from my current job. Trying to save up more before preparing to get my own health insurance which will be significantly more expensive because hooray LA)
Have a good day and more to come soon! ^^

OMG I can relate so much... especially with the side problems and the desire to produce comic pages on the regular. If only Robots could do most of the jobs in the world, then we could all live on basic and focus on actually doing the things that make us happy. Like sharing art and being with friends and family.
I appreciate your work, and the time it must take to produce a comic of this quality. :)

Aww, I hope you manage to balance it somewhat, especially managing things for your own well being and comfort! ^^
And your art is very great, you got a very unique style, but not only that, but the stories you tell as well through your comics are amazing :3 I wish ya all the best~

I know how you feel. I have similar things that I have to deal with too. I've worked overtime to get more money, I've been selling more of my stuff on Mercari to also get more money, I'm trying to prove that I'm a hard worker at my job, be responsible with my money and also slowly pay off my fursuit commission.
So I do struggle sometimes to balance everything I'm doing while keeping it together. But sometimes it does get stressful and overwhelming for me as well. Sometimes instead of suffering from burnout, I sometimes have a nervous breakdown because of everything that I'm trying to accomplish all at once.
What I'm trying to say is that, I know how it feels to juggle everything at once and keep your sanity but sometimes reading furry comics like yours is like a brief escape from cold harsh reality. I really love Andy, Cooper and even River. They are all so cute and sexy. Seeing Cooper hit rock bottom a couple of times sometimes makes me feel a little better. The reason why is because I've had times where I didn't feel like my life was going anywhere but I didn't give up hope. If Cooper can hopefully get back on his paws and have a better future, then so can I.
I love your work but take your time and remember that you always have people who will support you in what you do. Whether it's your followers, friends or family, as long as you're happy, I'm happy!
Hang in there, buddy! I know you'll cross that finish line and get that trophy! I believe in you! Thank you and have a great weekend!

Just remember that nobody (especially people who aren't paying for your time and creativity) owns you, even a little. You don't owe anyone (except a paid commissioner) a goddamned thing.
Take your time, draw what YOU want, tell stories the way YOU want, and only do it if it makes you happy. Anybody else can pound sand to Art-Parasite-Land.

Take the time you need, we all love to see your comics and commissions, but we're not that impatient as to demand you to work faster. Generally, the more love you pour into it, the more enjoyable it gets.
You're all good in my book. Life is made to be lived, so go forth now and live it your best. ^^

As a full-time artist who's also deep in the struggle of finding time for ANYTHING outside of work (especially personal art), the fact that you work a 30-hour-a-week job AND produce a fully-polished comic (+ all the side stuff) is MIND-BLOWINGLY impressive!
I hope that one day you're able to slide over to doing full-time art as well, because while there's certainly no shortage of time-juggling and fighting off the mental health gremlins, there's still something really rewarding about being able to make a living off of something you're really passionate about.
Please never feel bad about taking your time, your output is less important than your health and happiness.

Oh nice. Thanks for explaining this. :) It makes the reality of this sort of profession become more apparent. I'm always wondering why some artists are talking about problems like anxiety, stress and not having enough time since I just can't imagine they'd be drawing all day (I feel like everyone would go completely nuts if they had to). But having a part time job makes way more sense why that would be an issue. Thanks for clearing that up. That'll keep me from worrying if delays in new submissions might have been caused by you falling ill. :)
Fucking hell mate you don't need to make excuses.
Most of the people who view your stuff ain't paying for it, even if you wanted to post once every two months they can fuck off if they give you gripe over something thats free
And as your Patreon is charged per page, no one can complain they are not getting their moneys worth.
Honestly dude if people are giving you ear ache give them the fucking finger

You're the second artist within a 7-Day period to share some of their personal stuff with their followers. Honestly, I have begun to really enjoy these small portions of self-disclosure. All in all, it strikes me as beneficial for your image because it can permit people to feel like they know you, but especially with the way you did it, it also helps to set up expectations practically. It reminds limitations artists and other kind of content creators face, bringing that fluid and interpersonal dynamic to what could easily be reduced to a transactional relationship.
Don't worry about the time it takes you to create. Your drawing is high-quality, so it's worth it.
Plus, you've got some pretty interesting OCs, especially Cooper. This guy could have been really annoying, but instead, he ended up being one of my favorite characters in this story.

Cute comic, and gives a good insight to things many take for granted. I'd like to address the comment about the seconds to consume art; Mostly true. But with your comic, I tend to leave it in my queue for a few days because I like to review it a few times to appreciate the work. I love your style and how you bring your characters to life, and going back to it always brings details I missed earlier. Good stuff, always. And thank you for continuing to provide this wonderful form of entertainment! :3
Hi Jackaloo, first of all, I really enjoy your work on the comic, itโs really well written with relatable characters and just kind of reflects the experiences of a millennial/gen Z individual. And well, as an artist, I can really relate how it feels like for all the hours you put into your work, sometimes it feels like it just gets consumed in a fraction of a second. But you do really good work. Please take care of your life work balance ^^
You're such a lovely and talented artist. Even if the view of the comic pages are read eagerly and swiftly, I treasure the outstanding quality and work behind every piece. Your humour and spirit is a balm for many thoughts that aren't always consistently supporting. I've re-read your comics quite many times and they always leave me in humble thanks that you are capable, despite your juggling act with "facts of life". I want to support you more than I already do, but I'm at a disadvantage there, so I hope my notifications your way do you some good. I will always be a true fan and believer of your person
I consume your art again and again, not just seconds in total, way more. I appreciative and value all hours of yours behind all your work, and I've done so since the moment I discovered your profile and art. Thank you for being such a dedicated artist. I hope I can commission you someday
