there's trees... below the snow lol

Around queenstown the only trees there were was the fir trees, which were planted there for the queen. all the natives are practically all gone from them being burnt down, which is a shame >.> there is a few on the lower parts of the mountains, but not on top! X'D

All the snow fields we were on had absolutely NO trees at all, not even under the snow!

huh.. i've never been to the south island, so i don't know much about treeness down there. i know a lot of the mountains in the north island have trees

was meaning to go to the north, but we decided south cause of more fields to try... hope to do a trip all around both of them one day! =3

that is true. more mountains in the south island.. oooh that'd be cool. i'm going to the south island over the summer

Man I'm jealous of you guys... thankfully it'll be prime skiing whether when I get back to the states. :)

I have good experience of Queenstown and it is an amazing place. I actually love the fly in, blood hell! Flying in between the mountains and TURNING in the middle of the valley to land at the airport! It is my BEST landing ever. The town itself was quite fun and interesting as well, definitely had a bit of character in it (in my opinions at least).

Shame I went when it was the worst season for a long time, oh well, at least I had fun!
