I even came up with a little blurb:
Laganium are very large, growing up to 50 feet in lenght. They prefer to hunt on their own, enerally being very solitary. They are mostly found on top of the water, floating there and taking in the sun. When they dive down, Laganium close the flower on their backs and use their antenna as light in the darkness.
When tamed, Laganium can be surprisingly affectionate and loyal to their trainers.
