PS3 will be nice when developers finally actually use it's full potential. Untill then, you can't go wrong with an Xbox.
The PS3 remains too expensive for me, for too little return,
Luckily, when I move in with my partner next month, I have access to a PS3, Wii and 360. Huzzah! :D

Sure other than the community on Xbox hacking their systems in order to cheat at multiplayer games making it unfun for everyone else, and the fact that you can't nudge the system with a game in it without exploding and having the highest system failiure rate of any of the 3 systems.
That's my point. Ps3 hasn't reached its potential and is constantly growing, significantly harder to hack, keeping things fair, and does absolutely everything better than the other systems.

You just need to practice the positioning of your fingers and increase dexterity in your hands for the new platform.
The killer for you would probably be getting used to pinpoint mose control for aiming over joypads, as the slow even-speed turn is miles different than that snap-to style of hand-eye targetting you need to get used to.
I'm glad I started with PCs :D
