September is the month of the fatherland in Mexico, it is a good excuse to draw a Dixie Kong of mariachí and chola (fem of cholo). I know that many of you do not understand jokes in Spanish or Mexican jokes but I like to do something from time to time for myself or my countrymen. I usually try to do everything in English because most of the DKU fans only know English.
The chola says "don't mess with my gang", the other is a mixture of the lyrics of a mariachi song with the word "kong" maybe you know the cholos from the movie "Bound by Honor" the cholos are very common in México. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMj89zgI8Yc
Cocula song lyric
"De Cocula es el mariachi
De Tecalitlán los sones"
(De Cocula is the mariachi
From Tecalitlán the sounds)

The same information:
I draw Dixie like a barbary macaque, a monkey without a tail.

O.K., so yuh gotta explain the jokes...they usually don't translate well...cultural and historical diffs/etc...(When Antonio Bandaris did the voice of Puss in Boots with an accent that would be considered "hill billy"(?) here...)
But the second one looks like it could be part of a "# amigos"movie joke...I can see her doing a bit with Martin Short...

Don't worry.
The cholos look like Danny Trejo, they can be normal people or they can be criminals, there is no rule, for this reason they do not usually live long (I grew up in a cholo neighborhood and of the ones I met when I was young, there are only 3 left and they only have 40 years).
Mariachi is a musician of high cost and value in Jalisco (Mexico), since to sing mariachi you have to have a certain level of discipline, many study for tenor or soprano, the other musicians must join as if they were an orchestra. At the same time they are common to see in the city (in Guadalajara). However, there are some very funny jokes made in America with the theme of mariachis, for example, a couple of beatings scenes in SpongeBob (first movie and episodes before the first movie). The joke you say I am ALMOST sure I have seen it but I can't remember it, do you think you could share it with me?
