🌟Flares🌟

Now let’s get into this epic new creature! Right off the bat, this is a totally open species, I’m not about to try and limit the art community, with that in mind I’m about to go over how to make a flare of your very own 🌟


Fur: the flare is commonly fully covered in dark grey, dark grey or almost black fuzz, with longer brighter coloured fur on the head lower body including legs, and the tip of their ears and tail,
As seen the body fuzz cannot be a solid bright colour, but can absolutely have different coloured marks

Horns: horns can be as varied as your imagination, but! They need to have the ridges along the top, as that’s how flares tell age, each ridge is five years of life. (They must also be dark grey or black In colour)

Ears: all ears on flares are long and pointed, as they feed on mice voles and other small burrowing creatures they need impeccable hearing, and the ears almost always have floofs on their tips

Face: the face of a flare is vaguely snake like with a small nose spine to help when rooting around for mice and voles this was also used to help them break free of their eggs when they hatched

Eyes: flares have large mirror-like eyes with no visible cornea or pupil, the eyes can be any colour but they are most commonly a softer shade of what colour the flares gem is.

Body: a vaguely humanoid body, fully covered in fur, along the darker portions it is thinner, shorter and very soft, with legs that always end in hooves

Gems/glass: a flares gem is most commonly in the centre of its chest, but it can be pretty well anywhere on the
And gems can be any size shape or colour, (except black)
You see, flares use their gems to communicate, as they have no vocal cords, they can make their gems flash with lights, and they communicate through a sort of Morse code

Hands and claws: hands are larger and have three fingers only, they can have claws but it’s not always needed, and their hands can indeed have beans 🌟

Legs: there are two variations of legs, digitigrade and plantigrade.

Tail: as seen on the first slide a flares tale can be any length or floofyness but there must be at least a small amount of different coloured floof at the end (unless your flare decided to shave it off 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Hooves: there are three configurations of a flares hooves, (they must be dark grey or black) unfortunately there are no toe beans for these lads
