A result of tonight's art stream! I had to; it's in the name.
A chance to practice some hatching!
This is not kink: he's pudgy, but that's just his body type.

I don't have great motor control, so my lines often come out wobblier or less coordinated than I'd like for them to. Of course, not to blame everything on my body, this is something I'm sure I could remedy if I just practiced more XD
I also really struggle to make convincing line variation (I tend to hyperfocus and forget to make some lines thick and some thin), and the visual interest ends up being...lacking as a result.

I asked because I wanted to make sure I'd be replying with the right thing.
About your lines- while yes I agree some should be thicker/thinner ( i need to do that too) I feel, IMHO, you are being rather critical of your other spiel. Are your lines 100% straight/perfect? no- however- the fact that they arent is what helps th eline art from being stagnent I think. I dont see any lines that seem out of control. WHen I watch you draw I am so envious of how carefree you seem to be, versus me being so anal with mine.
But you know what? I think that is the curse of an artist. We'll always see our own stuff different.

Ahh, that's really good to hear! ;m;
What's weird is I do find it easier to worry about line thickness in traditional art (Idk if seeing the whole picture is what makes the difference), but I'm sure that you're right about being very self-critical. There's always stuff I can work on, but it's more important to settle for done instead of perfect.
