Though this tome almost completely concerns itself with historical accounts, and the fine publishing house that employs me has repeatedly taken umbrage with my opinions, I will break convention here to present what is most undeniably fact. Despite these rumors to the contrary, the idea that The Lipomancer has returned and is using the (rumored) famine (supposedly) affecting our realm as a means to gain a following is complete nonsense. The citizens of any neighboring land might be lured in by some charlatan claiming to be a deceased villain, but the idea that Bitemarsh's own loyal people might revolt in such a prosperous age can only be either lunacy or lies spread by foreign powers.
