honestly...(forgive the controversy) but i have a little mixed feeligns about how this is going. mostly because of the dynamic of this relationship.

It's not that the story is working, it hasn't really worked since the beginning, and that's mostly because it was ill-defined.

Was this story ever about Gervic? Was about his dreams, hopes, fears, desires, and his responsibilities?
Or was this always about Vlagg? Because looking at the story from this perspective, you can now address everything that's happened from Vlagg's viewpoint and get a better story from all of this.

At this point, you can not read the first two chapters, assume that Gervic was captured during the initial fight, and has always been Vlagg's captive and this works much better as a narrative. Sure, the conflict between Bob and Gervic might be a little muddy, but there's never really been a true conflict between the two, so that can easily be dismissed.

Heck, it might even be better to say Gervic was always Vlagg's slave, and that the first two chapters were just a bad fever dream, because, honestly, nothing Gervic does or has done matters in the context of what's going on.

Sex is hot though, if you're into Master/Slave roleplay.

So looking at the evidence, you can say for almost certainty that, yes Gervic has Stockholm Syndrome.

The key piece of evidence to suggest he might not by some viewers is that Gervic is supposed to be leaving soon...but the question is...to where and to do what?

Gervic is a very ill-definied character in this story.
His wants don't really matter, so much as what's happening around him is forcing him to move at the plot's behest. And because of that, it really doesn't erase the notice of him having Stockholm Syndrome, but instead, I would argue, enforces it, because without a central motivating drive to move him, all he has is his captor as a mental and emotional anchor. And I have a feeling that the plot will force the two to remain together, despite any other wishes made by Gervic.

Ehh I didn't intend Vlagg's initial interactions with Gervic to be 'abusive' though. But maybe I can bring up the stockholm syndrome thing in the next part. (although I don't know if that is a thing in medieval times?)

honestly , i think ti would mean alot , and id mean ALOT if somehow their love was so strong, its turns into a form of magic that cures ...well it cures things. it would mean alot of symbolism if somehow Bob's magic cant conqur true love .

Heyo, so I only recently discovered this comic and your art. I've gotten caught up on everything up to this point. While the section where Bob finally broke Gervic was totally fucked up, it made for excellent story development and made me even more sympathetic for Gervic. Which in-turn made the part later on when Gervic finally had an opportunity to strike back at Bob cathartic by proxy. I am very much looking forward to Chapter 4!

I really feel so sad for all these characters, there won't ever be a happy ending even if Bob got slain and the war finally ended and Vlagg and Gervic became the rulers together, all the misery is still there. This isn't a bash on your comic btw it sounds like a omg so much sadness but that's what war is and its a really good plot going on and all the lore behind everything. I cant wait for more and hopefully even if all the bad stuff happened I hope all of the Characters left have an OK ending. Keep up the great work man

My story isn't meant to have a perfectly happy ending. It's more like shit happens so the characters have to make the best out of it.

Hi,i pretty much binged this story a while ago and aside from all the mental/physical torture stuff this is a pretty good read.it's a shame people on the other sites don't seem to like it as much but what can you do?

I've been following this comic for months now, great plot, and a good amount on the fetish and gay stuff side too.
Glad you don't let the sex stuff dominate everything and take away the story.

I like how the plot has evolved into a twice-forbidden love story. The story didn't seem forced or too fast for me, everything happened at the right time and with a purpose. There were even some time skips, probably to avoid having pages that don't move the plot forward.
