September is almost upon us, so you know what that means... It's time for Sonictember!

So a couple years back in 2019, I got the idea to do a month-long event themed around Sonic called Sonictember, and I've been doing it ever since. However, because last year was the year Sonic Bad Guys happened, I decided to make last year's Sonictember themed around villains, and I also decided that all Sonictember's from here on out will also fall into a theme such as that. And so, for this year's Sonictember, I decided to make it themed around the Sonic Archie comics!

To prepare myself for this month, and also because I'm f*cking insane, I actually started doing a full read-through of Archie for the first time ever, and it's pretty much all I've been doing for the past week and a half. Over the past 15-ish years, I've read bits and pieces of it and have been over time slowly learning more about the lore and the behind the scenes stuff, so I already knew pretty damn well what I was getting myself into going into it and also already knew about every major plotpoint and character from the start, but this is the very first time in my life I'm reading all of it in rapid succession and context. And to those of you wondering where I currently am in it, I'm actually about halfway through it (although I'm technically over halfway accumulatively because I read the majority of the specials and mini-series up to this point, and because I've read both of them in full already, I'm actually going to be leaving out both Sonic X and Sonic Universe, so that cuts down on the Issue-count a lot).

As for how this month is going to work, it'll basically be the same as the other monthly events I've done so far this year and last year's Sonictember and Inktober (and speaking of Inktober, I will be doing it again this year the same way I did last year, but I'll talk more about that when the time comes), and there are also going to be a couple non-Sonic related anniversaries this month that I'm going to be doing stuff for in between the Sonictember stuff, meaning this month should hopefully be one of the fullest months I've had on here in a while.
