What the hell has been happening with Disney!?

Well, Disney Stores are closing down due to the Coronavirus pandemic and other unforeseen events that have been plaguing the world since the pandemic.

This is the most tragic. 😢

I'm gonna miss the one at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, MA. The Silver City Galleria Mall in Taunton, MA also had one, but that store closed years ago, and then the mall was demolished earlier this year after they went under.

I've gone to the one at the Burlington Mall for 6 years, though not counting in 2020 due to the pandemic, which forced me to miss the 5 year anniversary of my first experience. For missing the 5 year anniversary of my first Disney experience, I was initially on a 5 year suspension and couldn't return until my 10th anniversary. But since it's closing on/before September 15th, I had to temporarily lift the suspension and return to the Burlington Mall for the last time. After this trip, I will be retired and no longer returning to the Burlington Mall. The Disney Store was the reason I came to the Burlington Mall. But since it's closing, I have no reason to return to the Burlington Mall after September 15th.

The store there has changed a lot over the years. Including where in the Mall it is located. Back in the 90's, perhaps as a reaction to the Warner Brothers Studio Store that was there, it started stocking things that would appeal to more than just kids. They even had a gallery of cels and other artwork. That, I miss.

Damn you, Walmart and Amazon for killing those stores

For the most part, it's the coronavirus pandemic that's killing off Disney Stores. That'll mean a lot of Disney Store employees are losing their jobs.

It's also because they're starting to focus more on e-commerce

Forgive me for saying this but man, that sucks that is happening. I've heard of at least three big time businesses go out of business like Blockbuster, Hastings and Radio Shack but that was before the pandemic. It's sad this is happening.

Well to be fair im honest and i must say im in a blank state about this. Because the company itself has had a very rotten history behind it, and it was in decline before the pandemic.
