I made a new toy! I had a fishing pole I was going to use to make a tail but I changed my mind about that and I had this walnut knob I got from a forklift steeringwheel (don't ask) so I thought about it and decided to make myself a walking stick.

It's 35&3/4 inches long and the balance point is 6 inches from the top. the anchor I made from some hardware store parts: the plastic sleeve goes over the bolt, followed by the bronze piece. the ring is sterling silver and goes on the knob base, and the leather washer fits inside that also. Then it just screws together and the plastic tube expands inside the pole and secures everything.
