Wow! This drawing really required a lot of time. There was a point where it was resulted stressing because I was feeling unsure about the expressions, the postures, the design of the pajama, the design of the diaper, and I was changing and changing things until I was completely satisfied. This process of trying to learn new things to draw better applying the proper theory is complicated and exhausting, but I think it's really worth it.
The idea of drawing a sleepover scene was around my mind since a long while ago, but I didn't find the right thing to draw around that idea. I also know that a sleepover is more interesting with more characters, even better if all the mane 6 or even more are included, but that's for sure an enormous amount of work to do. This is, by the way, my first time drawing pajamas and I liked pretty much the result. Their expressions are also something that I'm not used to draw and the diaper design is pretty detailed too. I hope you appreciate all the effort put in those elements as well as in the shading, even if this time is soft because of the amount of light in this space. I'm really doing my best to improve.
By the way, even if this drawing does not represent it exactly, it is inspired in the story Rainbow's Padded Predicament https://www.fimfiction.net/stories?.....ed+predicament
Hehe those two "fillies" are having a nice sleepover tonight. Twilight is reading while Rainbow is enjoying a few bottles of cider. Looking at the already empty bottles of cider in the room Twilight already knows how this is going to end... Rainbow is probably too tired of the same speech again and again and she only wants to drink another bottle. What could go wrong after all?

so according to the recovery village, It takes about 45-60 minutes for alcohol (considering apple cider is technically alcohol) to travel and affect the bladder. Considering dash had three of them and one bottle of beer is roughly 12 oz and the average bladder size of a horse can hold 4–4.5L of urine and horse pee up to 4-6 times a day, dash is going to have to have multiple diaper changes
I feel really excited when I read that you are trying something new, or finding new ways to challenge yourself to be an even better artist. The reason I get so excited is that, in my experience, people who continually seek to improve upon their abilities are also those who make for great coworkers. You put so much effort into building your creative ability that, based on those I have worked with over the years, you put even more into your work performance. There is also the other benefit that those with your ongoing effort to self-improve often have positive personalities and are great to work with.

I think I remember this story. If I am remembering it, I believe that rainbow dash is wearing a pair of pajama pants over her diaper. If this is a correct assessment of what you have illustrated, I compliment you on the effort to show how a diaper has a way of making itself known despite it being covered by an article of clothing.
If I am not correct, I offer you congratulations on using inspiration from a story to create an adorable opportunity to draw pajamas on Rainbow Dash and twilight Sparkle. Pajamas, regardless if they are one, or two, pieces, tend to fit loosely. The loose fit creates lots of spots where many different places 'puff out' and 'crease in'. Where and how the pajama shows its 'peaks and vallys' being based upon previous movements and the current stationary position. To take time to properly show how comfy cozy the pajamas are by making them as accurate as is possible is quite the achievement in artistry.

This picture reminds me of how much I would really like to have a padded sleepover with a very special some pony. What you drew is quite intimate in how, as adults, we find putting ourselves in such a situation to be very risky / dangerous due to what may happen if people found out you did such a sleepover with a friend. To be able to have someone to be like a foal again would definitely make for a wonderful friendship and/or blossoming relationship. :)

First of all, yeah. I could say that the main goal for the new year is being able to challenge myself artistically with new complicated situations. For example, in this drawing, the complexity was increased because of having to draw a pajama and a diaper under it. When you check my most recent submissions, you will find more of those challenges :wink:
Second, I'm not sure to which story you refer, but it is probably kinda different. The story I talk about is called Rainbow Padded Predicament, you can find it on Fimfiction. In that story, the mane 6 have a sleepover in the castle and they force Rainbow Dash to wear diapers during bedtime in order to "keep the forniture safe" due to previous accidents occurred in previous sleepovers. I won't spoil you the rest, because if you haven't read it, you may like it hehe.
Just to clarify, in this drawing Rainbow Dash is wearing only a diaper and she is sit down with several empty cider bottles. Twilight is lied down in the carpet reading a book wearing her pajama (with a diaper under it) and looking to her with a sight of "I know what is going to happen afterwards Rainbow".
Third, of course I would love also to have a sleepover like that. I love how relaxing results the nights, I have also had a couple of sleepovers which were really funny. So yeah, for me this could be absolute perfection. The only thing is that I would really need a perfect special somepony or friend to share that, but well... Maybe one day...
