Anniki’s Looming Moons - YCH
I present to you a new product/service I am getting ready to offer: Your Character Here’s (YCH’s)!
This was definitely inspired by
foxfencer and his use of YCH’s. The goal I sought was something fast and thus inexpensive to make my work more affordable. I do realize that my typical $150-300 per commission prices are out of reach for some. And unlike my typical work, YCH’s are going to be a flat rate rather than hourly.
My YCH’s will utilize three tiers you can pick from or gradually upgrade over time based on your budget: Sketch, Color, and Shading.
Between the three, “Color” is the most expensive per tier upgrade as it takes the longest to do. But the coloring is done in such a way to make “Shading” a breeze to finish.
For my first trial run I picked the elegant Anniki the Umbreon to test the waters. I’m expecting for every YCH template I create I will do at least one personal one to get an idea of the price I should charge. All my YCH’s will be priced differently.
Another goal is that I will probably not create any new templates until basically all current orders are completed. At that point I’ll consider making a new one. YCH templates I don’t plan on retiring so you can still go back to old ones at any time.
Also, because of the intense positive reactions I’ve been getting on these, I may get to the point I have to offer limited slots and openings and make an entire queue and schedule independent from my usual work.
We’ll see how it goes. Keep on watch for a post when I do a public opening for these!
Done with mechanical pencil on a print off YCH template on white card stock paper and colored digitally in Photoshop CS5.
Patreon I have a Patreon that features early access, full resolution pictures, and voting for picture ideas and/or completion. You can find that account at: https://www.patreon.com/EclipsisStudios
