A wolf wouldn't be able to pass on floppy ears.
German Shepherds generally have standing ears, except for a few poorly bred ones with weak ears.
Putting those two together, seems really hard to believe that it's actually a wolf x GSD. Nothing really looks "wolfy" about it, honestly. Maybe a german shepherd and a border collie or something.

Heh.
Funny you should mention.
Mother was a GS. Breeder was irresponsible and was trying for a 2 way wolf mix / GS cross. So, mom is 1/4 wolf at most. Then BP's mom got caught up with a Zellwood pit bull. (think of a brown pit bull mutt dog).
So, Bearpaw looks NOTHING like what he should.. if I could even figure out what he IS supposed to look like. So, we have a mutt here made of a touch of wolf, a LOT of GS, and a bunch of other things that make up a small stocky brown dog.
So he's a mutt. But the insurance companies don't accept that. So he's a Collie and Austrian Shepherd Mix. >:-D

He's a wolf mix alright, but it's so far back it shouldn't matter. Problem is it matters to insurance carriers so I had to figure out what he was, and what he looked MOST like so I could come up with a plausable mix to sell them. (Wolf mixes to as many as 3 generations back are un-insurable in florida for homeowners.)
