One of my favorite movies while growing up, resulting it in being one of the first VHS tapes I owned (before the era of DVDs).
Of course I'm sure that having an actual, on-screen vore scene with a giant monster, was a big influence on my appreciation of this movie, though I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of it as well, and not merely that one scene. Heh.
According to a Ray Harryhousen interview from a 1996 issue of Prehistoric Times I own, they wanted the Rhedosaurus to be a 'created creature', so they went with a composite which was basically a T-Rex head on an iguana body; which they then tweaked to give it a more natural look. But the reason they did this, was because they didn't want it to be too closely related to The Lost World, which had actual dinosaurs, based on what we believed they looked like at that time.
Anyway, a delightful video. As always, you are so much fun to watch and listen to. Keep up the great work.
