I’m withholding judgment till I hear the whole situation. One of two things is happening, either both Carolina and Laguna feel that Basil would benefit from some time away from each other or Laguna is manipulating Carolina into disassociating herself from Basil. Either way this is heartbreaking 💔
As true as this COULD be and it still very well might be... There are other ways to go about things. Clearly basil wouldnt be aware of anything if he convinced her to drink. He doesnt seem like the kind of person to pressure someone into doing something they are quitting. Not when they are trying hard to do it. So im not fully convinced this is the reason but it still could be. Either way she could have communicated things better with basil if that were the case. Either way im excited to see what new stuff comes from this.
I sense a bit of a twist coming, but regardless of context, Laguna gives me the worst goddamn vibes... No healthy relationship would have someone look or feel this nervous and fearful about their partner.
Also, "we're taking a break from you", she says while also following that up with "no, I don't think you did anything wrong". So she doesn't agree with the decision, but keeled over and said that shit to her friend regardless? Wow... Guess I'll wait to see what else is up.
