What a memorable movie scene.

Man, in another universe (where a mad god's underling tried to enact a ritual to rise his master from the dead, using the German population as the ignition source before going after the rest of humanity, thus irrevocably changing destinies of all sorts of people be those who would become monsters or those who would become saints), the movie would be part of a ploy to get people prepared to consider the paranormal as human with all that it entails...

... and the scene would end with an FBI combat team (of the Unusual Investigations Department) busting the door in, clad in full combat gear (which includes armored exoskeletons) and loaded for pretty much anything short of things like minotaurs.

... or the Remake having one of Germany's paranormal investigation most powerful agents coming in, sending the doors flying, see the young man in what used to be a pair of doors, and the witches having existential dread going up and down their spines. The rest of the team? Providing containment and damage control.

... your mind gets crazy when you've got a crazy timeline you're playing with for a GATE fanfic...

The original movie was good, creepy, but good. And to think, it had a PG rating. But, uh, the remake nuh-uh. Why can't Hollywood leave the classics alone and do something new and original?
