So D.R. joined Sly's Covenant and they went to inspect a halo, while the officers were away D.R. Chatted with a proud engineer that claim this ship was unimpregable. Then he Received orders to prepare impregnate the the cruiser, the officers returned.

We have no idea how but he brought the ship to life just so he can knock it. And now everyone is stuck on Halo till she goes in to labor. To everyone dismay, D.R. feels a little proud at what he's done.
